Stuart E. Nahas

Background:

Stuart E. Nahas considers himself a general practitioner.  His primary focus is real estate, estate planning, corporate and commercial law and litigation.

Since 1991, Stuart has represented thousands of clients, personal and corporate, in real estate transactions, including a first purchase of a home through creation, development and resale of condominium units.  Stuart also represents numerous cooperative corporation boards addressing their real estate, financial and corporate concerns.  His clients have also sought out his counsel and representation for estate planning and litigation.  Stuart has litigated simple disputes to complicated, mutli-state class actions in the State and Federal Courts of California and New York, as well as arbitrated numerous matters before the American Arbitration Association and the Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Service, including appellate representation in numerous Appellate Divisions of New York.

Stuart was previously associated with the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office in Ventura County, California and an Associate Attorney at Booth Mitchell & Strange, where he specialized in product liability, construction defect, personal injury, fraud, and bad faith litigation.

Admissions and Affiliations:

Stuart is a member in good standing of the Bars of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and California.  He is admitted to practice before the District Court of New Jersey, Southern District Court of California and the Southern and Eastern District Courts of New York.  Stuart is a Member of the New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and California State Bar Associations.

Education:

Stuart graduated from Colgate University with a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis on Colonial History.  He graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he received the distinction of First Place in the Vincent S. Dalsimer Moot Court Competition before the distinguished Justice Byron White, Chief Justice Malcolm Lucas and Judge Stephen Trott as well as First Place for the Best Overall Brief.  He was also awarded the Bureau of National Affairs Award, Outstanding Third Year Law Student, a member of the Moot Court Board, at Pepperdine University School of Law and recognized in Who’s Who Among American Law Students, 11th Edition.

Personal:

Stuart was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.  He resides with his wife and three children in Bergen County New Jersey.
